XPEL film over the panels that take the hits.

XPEL ULTIMATE PLUS — clear, self-healing urethane film that swallows rock chips, sand, and bug etching before they ever reach your paint. Cut, wrapped, and set by Vang Ge Lee, the only installer at Auto Armor Owasso.

What PPF actually does

Your paint stops taking the damage.

Highway driving is a sandblaster. Every rock off a gravel truck, every bug at 70, every door edge in a parking lot lands on your clear coat — and once it is chipped, the only fix is paint. Paint protection film puts a thick, self-healing urethane layer in front of all of it. The film takes the hit instead of your finish, and light swirls in the film itself disappear with heat.

  • Stops rock chips on the hood, bumper, and fenders
  • Self-healing — light marks vanish with sun or warm water
  • Optically clear, so the paint underneath still looks like paint
  • Protects resale value on a car you plan to keep
  • Available in gloss or satin, and it can be coated on top

Coverage options

Cover what gets hit, or cover everything.

Most people start with the front end and add more later. Whatever you pick, the edges get wrapped where the panel allows it so you are not staring at a film line.

Partial front

Leading edge of the hood and fenders, mirrors, and bumper. The cheapest way to stop the damage that actually happens.

Full front

Entire hood, both fenders, bumper, and mirrors. No chip line halfway up the hood, which is the giveaway on a partial job.

Full body

Every painted panel wrapped. For new vehicles, show cars, and anything you intend to keep flawless.

High-impact add-ons

Rocker panels, door cups, door edges, rear luggage area, and A-pillars — the spots that get worn without anyone noticing.

How your PPF gets done

The prep is most of the job.

Film is only as good as the surface under it. Anything left on the paint gets sealed in for years, so the panel gets decontaminated before a single piece is laid.

  1. Wash and decontaminate

The panels get washed, clayed, and stripped of anything sitting on the clear coat. Film traps whatever is left.

  2. Paint inspected

I look the panels over first. If there are swirls or defects worth correcting, that happens before the film, not after.

  3. Patterns cut for your vehicle

XPEL patterns cut for your exact year and model, adjusted by hand where your car needs it.

  4. Install and wrap the edges

Film laid, worked out, and wrapped around edges where the panel allows so there is no visible line collecting dirt.

  5. Cure and final check

The film settles over the next few days. I check every edge myself before the car goes home.

Common questions

Straight answers.

PPF or ceramic coating?

They do different jobs. Film is physical armor that stops chips. Ceramic coating is a chemical layer that adds gloss and makes cleaning easy — it will not stop a rock. Plenty of people do film on the front end and coating over the whole car. Tell me how you drive and I will tell you what is worth it.

Will I be able to see the film?
Not from a normal distance. Up close you can find the edges if you look for them, which is why edges get wrapped wherever the panel allows. On a full front there is no line across the hood at all.
How long does it last?
Years, not months. XPEL ULTIMATE PLUS comes with XPEL’s 10-year warranty, and it can be ceramic coated on top to keep it slick. I will walk you through exactly what the warranty covers when you call.
Can it come off later?
Yes. It is designed to be removable and it comes off without taking factory paint with it. That is the whole point — the film is sacrificial, your paint is not.
Can you film a car that already has chips?
You can, but you are sealing the damage in. If the paint is worth saving, get it corrected first. I will tell you honestly whether it is worth doing on your vehicle.
How long will you have my car?
A partial front is a day. Full fronts take longer and full-body work takes several days. Call and I will give you real dates.
